 Poems and Short Stories

Once upon a time I wrote poems and short stories. I will add these to the web site for your entertainment, perhaps even your puzzlement. I retain copyright for all of my writing.

We passed through this space at different times

Can we occupy this space together

Melt into space, into each other, be as one

Do you love me

This is a difficult question

Had we met at a different time ... perhaps

Is this the beginning or is this the end

There is no beginning, there is no end

This is of the moment, has the moment passed

This is also a difficult question

In your time or in my time

Time is an unbroken circle. Time is eternity.

Can we explore this further.

There is no time.

We can make time. We can make time for each other.

There is no time. Time has passed us by.

We have run out of time.

Scots Pine

A spark of life

Downward to the centre of the earth

Upward to the sun

Seasons helter skelter by

Gales rock and breezes roll

Men come and go

My day will come

For now … I am magnificent.

Inspired by the many magnificent trees in Scotland's gardens and landscapes.

Shooting Stars

May I fly with you sweet thing

through the milky way

Can I twinkle beside you

and sparkle by day

May I shoot with you bright thing from Venus to Mars

Can I dance at your feet with the sun moon and stars

Take time with your answer for I shall not fade

A smile from your face a look enough said.

Brian Sutherland.
